Erotic Rope bondage

By on February 24, 2010

Rope bondage can be described as the use of restraints for sexual pleasure. It can definitely add some spice to your sex life; provided both partners are willing and you play safe.

First of all, let’s address the safety issue. You’ll always want to keep something around capable of cutting your strongest rope, like some EMT shears or bandage scissors.

Always make sure to monitor your partner. Communication is essential. Make sure you have unambiguous safe-words. A safe-word can be any pre-arranged signal or word to end or change the pace of the session. This is vital when “No” or other pleas to stop could be just part of the game. For example, colors are popular choices. “Red” could mean stop immediately, “orange” could mean I’m getting close to my limits, and “green” could mean “go on.”

To get started with some novice rope bondage play, you can purchase different lengths and thicknesses of rope. You could even use household items, such as laces and scarves. You can also use rubber bands, zip ties and handcuffs. If you want to spend a little more money, sex shops carry a wide variety of basic ties and cuffs.

Of course, a good rope technique to start with is to have your partner lie spread eagle on the bed. Secure each wrist to the headboard, then secure the ankles. Make sure to use plenty of rope and tie loosely, yet securely. You don’t want the circulation to get cut off.

A hogtie is a very basic and simple restraint. It involves having a person lie face down with their ankles and wrists bound together behind the back.

To begin, have you partner stand; it’s much easier to tie the wrists together while your partner is standing up. Have them bring their hands behind their back. The palms should be facing each other. Wrap some rope around the wrists. Make sure to use plenty of rope and tie loosely. After the hands are secure, you can have your partner lie on their stomach.

Now, have them bend their knees and bring their ankles together. Tie them together the same way you tied the wrists. After the ankles are secured, you can take a separate piece of rope and secure the wrist ties to the ankle ties. This is a great position for spanking or anal play.

You can try something similar to a hogtie as well, but this one will have your partner on their back. Have your partner lie on their back on a table. Their legs should dangle over the edge. Tell them to relax their arms and grab their ankles in this position. Now, tie the wrists to the ankles. This leaves the genitals nice and exposed. You can also try this position on a comfortable place, like a bed. This position requires a bit of flexibility, so use caution as you experiment.

There are so many possibilities with bondage play; just be sure to play safe and have fun!
